Day 225

“It's the action, not the fruit of the action, that's important. You have to do the right thing. It may not be in your power, may not be in your time, that there'll be any fruit. But that doesn't mean you stop doing the right thing. You may never know what results come from your action. But if you do nothing, there will be no result.”
― Mahatma Gandhi

For BFF with Cancer, 7 year-old shaves his head.

UNION, Mo. — A little boy showed wisdom and kindness beyond his years when he shaved his hair and started a fundraiser for his friend with leukemia.

Zac Gossage, 6, was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia last June after weeks of feeling tired and ill, KSDK reported. Despite the demanding and tiring treatments, Zac didn’t miss much school, where his friend Vincent Butterfield was.

When Vincent, 7, saw his friend’s hair start to fall out, he decided to shave his head so Zac wouldn’t be the only boy in their first-grade class without hair.  (full story...)
