Day 167

“Long ago I yearned to be a hero without knowing, in truth, what a hero was. Now, perhaps, I understand it a little better. A grower of turnips or a shaper of clay, a Common farmer or a king--every man is a hero if he strives more for others than for himself alone.
Once you told me that the seeking counts more than the finding. So, too, must the striving count more than the gain.”
― Lloyd Alexander, The High King

Day 166

"Alot of times my mind is working at the speed of light, and it is very hard to slow down and pause and realize that the important thing is that I need to develop my relationship with my Heavenly Father while I'm here on earth."

Music is so important because it expresses everything that words cannot

Day 165

“Keep your heart clear
And transparent,
And you will
Never be bound.
A single disturbed thought
Creates ten thousand distractions.”
        ― Ryokan

“To understand the immeasurable, the mind must be extraordinarily quiet, still.”
        ― Jiddu Krishnamurti
